How did you end up becoming a trainer/class instructor?: By default. Grew up around the University of Minnesota and hung out in the sports medicine department; wound up getting certified because I wanted to know more.
Describe your teaching/training style/philosophy: Hybrid- my training is formed from elements of all the current philosophies and applying what’s appropriate to the specific goal(s)
3 most important things when it comes to training: Form. Load. Progression
What sports or athletic endeavors you had as a youth: I tried just about everything. Don’t know how something works if you don’t try it yourself.
Most challenging lift/exercise or sport: Most Challenging sport is Crew & lift is the squat-I have a love/hate relationship with it
Hobbies outside of the gym: Whatever inspires me when I actually have time off.
