3 adjectives that describe you: loving, authentic, dedicated
How did you end up becoming a trainer/class instructor?: I started out as a training client at IRON after having suffered from an eating disorder in 2012. Soon did I realize that lifting weights not only made my body stronger but allows me to reconnect with my inner strength. After 2 years of having trained with a trainer I decided to make my hobby my job. I quit working the corporate world and developed my very own holistic training style incorporating different types of training tailored to one’s specific needs.
Describe your teaching/training style/philosophy: When the mind, body, and spirit work as one, anything is possible. Everybody’s story is different. Everybody’s body is different. When working with me expect a holistic approach on achieving your goals. Besides training we will have a look at the biggest obstacles you are currently facing and create a plan for you that is tailored to your very specific needs.
3 most important things when it comes to training: Trust the process. Be humble with yourself. Listen to your body.
What sports or athletic endeavors you had as a youth: I started horseback riding when I was 5 years old and spend most of my free time in nature. I love hiking and any outdoor activities. Fun fact: The first time I saw a gym from the inside was when I was 22 🙂
Most challenging lift/exercise or sport: I definitely have a love hate relationship with Pull-Ups
Hobbies outside of the gym: Energy work (Reiki), crafting wire wrap jewellery, Pole dance and not to forget going on adventures
Dream vacation: Bali – I went there for three weeks last year and can’t wait to go back
Theme song: I won’t give up – Straight No Chaser feat. Jason Mraz
What do you love most about IRON?: Open and bright space, awesome equipment and most importantly the community!
