How much food should you be eating?


We’re talking more nutrition today on the blog! You’ll notice this is a constant hot topic here at IRON and it’s because it is a topic that is misunderstood by most people. In addition, there is so much FALSE information that floats around out there (on the internet, magazines, tv, etc.), that it can be hard to know what’s true or false. Because of this, it’s really important that we have the discussion about nutrition, and that we do it often. We are a resource for you that can be TRUSTED and we want to make sure you’re getting the best information possible.

Nutrition is so important in your fitness journey because:

  1. It’s the BIGGEST determinant in how your body will (or won’t) change
  2. It’s the most difficult problem for most people to overcome
  3. We (as in scientists, researchers, professionals) are still learning exactly how nutrition affects the body. We’ve come a LONG way since the low-fat craze, but there is still much that we don’t know, so we have to keep the conversation going and give you the latest information as often as possible.

One of the biggest points of confusion when it comes to nutrition is how much food to eat for fat loss (this is something we teach you and monitor for you in our Fit in 42 program that starts April 3rd!).

It varies from person to person, but getting it right is absolutely essential in producing a fat loss result. From there, we also must understand how much activity we should be doing to support our goal, and in that, knowing when we may be doing TOO much activity. There is a fine line between being highly active and being overactive and it’s important to not only know the difference, but also to know how to make sure you’re putting yourself in the BEST position to see results and in the healthiest way possible.
